Discuss sub main cable calculation? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

morning all, im putting a sub main to another db in domestic property currently fed by single insulated 10mm tails. my question is the board will be supplied by a 63 amp breaker and is a 10m run so 10mm t&e was what I was going to use, but after a rough max demand calculation would state I need 16mm after doing a cable calc but obviously its still only gonna be supplied by a 63 amp breaker. I will do a proper max demand calculation which im sure will bring it down. or im thinking I could run an armoured so it wont need to on a rcd and take more but would mean jiggling the board around and increasing breaker. I have never had problems with a sub main on a 63?
If anyone could advise me it would be much appreciated.
cheers

First of all whats the demand going to be at this new board? Get that sorted then design your circuit to suit.

IMO T&E isn't the best way to go for sub mains, a little rhinestone cowboy for my liking.:shame:
