Hi guys, I need some suggestions. I have a job next weekend in which the customer has asked for outdoor sockets to be mounted on a steel fixing coming from the ground and I'm stumped with what to use?
Any help?

if the steel is already in situ, drill it and fix socket with 4mm bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts

i did one for a water feature socket. just banged 2 lengths of unistrut into the ground. 4ft. below ground.2ft.above.it's still there 4 years later,

Even if it was a concern I could just take a fly lead to the steel as it's coming off of the ring circuit which is protected by an rcd

Knock about 6 foot of unistrut in and connect an earth fly lead to it - the socket can be TT then :) Only kidding before anyone goes off on one. Daz
