Anyone replaced the mains lead on one of these?
Just been to look at one and helpfully the mains lead has been removed leaving a connector block with black and white wire.
Anyone know if these fires are wired to American standard (Black HOT, White NEUTRAL)?
 
stick a meter across them, switch on and see if you read the element resistance.
