Hi, Im trying to match an inverter to 9 Suntech 190 24AD+ Mono panels. It wont allow 9 in one string but will allow 2 strings of 4.

I'm trying to get it to show 1 string of 4 and 1 string of 5, is this possibe or am I not using the software properly?

TIA
Woko

SB2000HF should be fine (single string 9 panels) though it's a bit oversized - what software are you using?

Try a Fronius or a Power-One

Using the SMA software, is there any fronius software I can use? I'm not really in a position to buy Pvsol yet.

I used the SMA Sunny design too, it configures just fine with 1 string x 9 panels and the SB2000HF, it tells you though that it's 'conditionally compatible' becuase it's oversized.

The SB1700 is overpowered at 9 panels (over voltage) so as it only has a single MPP tacker with split input the two strings must contain IDENTICAL strings i.e. orientation, elevation, panel make and model and # of panels. hence it offers 2 x X, (2 x 5 is under voltage) however it is the wrong inverter for that installation. - Use something else.
