Hi all

i have seen in the passed a cover that the 3 pins of a 13A plug are pushed throught in to a socket and has a flap of plasting which covers the switch (manly used when a fridge is pluged in so cant be turned off)

does any one know were i can get one been looking for the last hour

cheers Beaver

Wouldn't this be against the regs? The whole idea is that the switch on the socket is turned off before the load is unplugged to prevent arcing damage to the socket rings and plug pins. Also prevents surges to electronic components in the appliance when it's unplugged.

I don't think that there is any requirement to provide switched sockets, hence why you can buy unswitched ones.
However I have never seen one of those thingys and think that just changing the front to an unswitched one may be easier?
