Telephone salesman

Since setting up my website and advertising my company I've had nothing but saleman ringing my phone. This last one was quite a pratt!!! I put the phone down and he wouln't stop ringing. He wouldn't stop talking no matter how many times I told him no.

Being new to self employment I'd like some information on these guys?

Can these pratts set you up even if you say no a million times and send a bill to your address or do they need your bank details???

Out telephone system blocks these calls and the ones that do get through (they normally withhold their number) get recorded. We got stiched up by yell a year or so ago. They offered what we thought was a 30day free trial of their ad words, a month down the line we got an invoice for £465 for the year!! We aregued with them, would they listen, they finaly got Moorcroft to presue "Pre Court Action" we sent Moorcroft a copy of the recording.... That was that last we heard of it!

On an additions note our telehone systems has 340 blocked numbers and kicks off about 50 calls a day that would otherwise have to be answered.

Seriously??? and they didn't have any bank details? Surely they can't send invoices to people without their bank details etc. Otherwise their would be loads of these companies just taking addresses of companies and sending them bills etc

No bank details just tried to bully us in to paying for something we hadn't agreed to.

I set up a trial for web based advertising for 30 days. Had no way of cancelling the direct debit and had to cancel the card it was paid from. Must get 5 calls a day from people.Have to answer everything as it could be work.

We always use to tell them, your exactly what we are looking for, I'll ask the receiver if he can free up some funds to start this off ...........amazing how quickly they leave you alone.
