Hello all,
As part of a large rewire I have to wire in 6 telephone slaves.
I have neve installed this many points before.
Am I ok just wiring from the master socket out to the first slave then onto next in parallel, then next etc etc.
Or would it be better to wire 3 from master, and the other 3 also from master.
Thanks for your replies.

Thanks.
As I dont normally get involved with networking do you think it would be peferable to use cat5.
Would i be able to utilise the cable for telephone and a home network?
Thanks again

forget 3. just daisy chain 2 and 5. cat 5 is perfect for this.

Depends how much you need and what you have lying around, Cat5e is cheap enough if you are using it alot. As you will be wiring this to the telephone points , it doesn't work for home networking, for that you need another cat5e wired back to a central point like where the router is going to be. Or you could just use wireless.
