So moving day is tomorrow, thought I'd do a cheeky recce of the utilities; standard gas meter setup, water meter and stop tap under sink, and then this is what I find under the stairs....

I've not looked ubdr the hood yet but already this is making me cringe. The power in the garage is much worse but I didn't snap piccies. Here's a few more of this install

So what do you think is wrong with this consumer unit install?

My first impressions were "hmmm, there's ----ery a-foot", I mean;

IMG_20190906_013428.jpg
- No seals on service head or meter

IMG_20190906_013410.jpg
- Labels not matching circuits/unlabelled MCBs and crappy labelling to (up v down?)

IMG_20190906_013437.jpg
- Just look at the top, I mean come on!

That's before I have had chance to get inside!

- The kitchen (no images yet) has several unlabelled FCUs and it's not 100% obvious what they control

- The garage has power but the switchgear looks old as hell and isn't labelled on the main board either.

I will say this though, the palace has plenty of sockets....

I dont think I'd go so far to say 'terror' :)
The IP4X may well be ok with that gland on top, very poor choice of sides to use but probably ok.
Yep, it's got incorrect labelling, again poor but not appalling.
I think you will come across far worse in the future.

Bog standard domestic install poorly labelled but thus is very common

I personally don’t like the tail pack gland on the top but again will comply

I thought it was the tiny little wet floor sign on top. Perhaps a family of borrowers just done some mopping up on their power station. So thought hmmm water close to the station. Not cool.

I'm assuming space is tight and the location of the CU is forced.

The tails look alittle forced to me, I'd have probably battened the CU off the wall to allow tor more of a swpt
