I usually smile slightly when he swears after each shock he gets!! Stopped counting them and trying to explain safe isolation when he put his cutters through a 16mm T&E sub main protected by a 1361 80amp. The flash worried the property owner! Tried to report it and it got swept away under the table due to friends above my pay grade, took me 6 hours to renew and it was a bit of a long day! He doesn't come near me any more, I wonder why?

Maybe something to do with you soap you use .... or don't use ?? :rolleyes2: :biggrinjester:

Well, usually I get the cups of tea and jammy dodgers ready, and waiting, for our lovely annual NIC inspector.
But if he tries these (New courses are a must approach) He is gonna be leaving with a rolled green book shoved well and truly where the sun don't shine.
And all I will say is try reading page page blah blah blah regulation blah blah blah now old chap.

I got the same letter you know it's heading down the gonna have to do the courses or you can't renew your membership, I've had arguments with the Niceic about letting people in who don't have relevant qualifications namely one who had no experience on site, as stated in their own paperwork, done his 236 1&2, 2391 and had never even worked with a sparky, what's happened to an apprenticeship!!!!! Pay your money get your registration!

Ive just down graded myself to approver on paper but still have the knowledge, experience and abilities of a Electrical Technician as it was called in my days.
The way i see it, you aint gonna go to court, you wont ever see hefty fines, and no-one gives a damn as long as your proficient and competent.
If someone died on your watch then its just a little bit harder to prove your level of competence but even holding the correct paperwork would have your competency thoroughly scrutinised, their are too many cowboys making peoples lifes misery out there for them to start chasing up those that haven't dotted all the i's and crossed the t's on official paper.
