The cover was nearly off on this...its a dedicated cooker feed and none of the cables were terminated....yep, its still energised....




Found this CPC out of the earth bar upon pre-board change inspection...turns out theres 55 volts sitting on it....
Theres a mix of class 1 & 2 lighting in here n all...
looks like someone decided the CPC wasn`t needed as there was a `fault`....what a DIMMER.......

yep....the cable feeding the immersion heater had been cooking....

its the fact that whoever had been in there before had seen fit to disconnect the CPC on the lighting circuit that gets me....

its a rented....the guy who owns it says theres a load more he wants upgrading....were talking 50 plus houses here.....and a load of flats....
but talk`s cheap as they say....
anyway, the fella wanted some smokes and a heat installing....took one look at the metalclad Wylex BS3036 job and explained that our circuits couldn`t realistically go on it...
so he opted for us to drop the old box and replace with split load 5 n 5...
turns out theres a bit of sortin first...
the socket outlets are a bit tired n all.....got a few strange (R1 R2) readings that cleared after the breakout box was rattled a bit....it aint dirty shutters...the outlets are shaged....

this is it....folk say one thing....then its summat else...
he said the guy who he had been using has got really busy with a load of commercial stuff in bradford....like a load of warehouses or summat....
yeah rite!!
as if he wouldn`t go get an agency inspector & tester to come in on these `50 houses`....
we`ll see...
i`v heard that much bullshyte from them that make extravagant claims...you could fill a lagoon with it...
