Hi,

I would like to put a thermostat in my shed to turn on/off a 500w plugged in electric heater. I would like the thermostat to be remote. I would appreciate any thoughts on solutions from someone who has done something similar?

Thanks,

Chris

I would think you need the thermostat in the shed with the heater, so the distance to the shed will dictate how remote it can be.

Do you mean you would like to control it remotely i.e. via a smart phone app?

Thanks, was thinking more about a thermostat panel. The suggestion above for a built in thermostat doesn't help as the heater is under a desk so a built in stat would read too hot.

Risky design change with "anything made of plastic"
..insert blob of melted plastic + burnt down shed pic HERE...
Need a good old metal beast --
(or another fan to improve air flow /
chimney for heat escape from desk - within shed )
