Evening,

Wondering if anyone knows where I can source an Imperial Die with a suitable ratchet crimper for a specialist job we need to do.

I have sourced the below but after a bit of research and measuring Im pretty sure the conduit we need to thread is 5/8. Afterwards we can put on a 5/8 adaptor with a 20mm thread and bush it into trunking to remain good earth continuity onto conduit pipe rather than earth camp wrapped around it.

Builders Tools and DIY > Plumbers Tools - http://www.ciponline.co.uk/builders-tools-and-diy-c10/plumbers-tools-c83/draper-7-piece-imperial-ratchet-pipe-threading-kit-model-no-ptk-2-p50335

Cheers for any help

5/8 is pretty rare nowadays but having said that the site I am at the moment still has lots in use. Have you actually sourced any 5/8 to 20mm adaptors.

just thinking outside box ,if you can remove said conduit take it to local garage and weld a coupler onto it galv spray ,job done integrity complete

5/8 is 16mm if I recall so is it not possible to get a 16mm die and just use a 16 -20mm adaptor as these are more common and easily sourced.

Yep, BSP and BSW thread forms, are different. I think the best route for the Whitworth version, maybe going down the collectors/antique route.
On a related topic,i was looking at the Whitworth family bible a while ago,as an elderly pal, knew Joseph Whitworth's great grandmother...a beautiful, leather bound book, with some very nice inscriptions on the inner leafs.
