with a bit of Gn/Y tape, of course. :mask: :mask: :mask:

Looking closer at the photo of the flat end. It's not glanded, just taped up.

Going to be a bugger to gland that off in the wall

Can’t see how they will do it now it’s been cut so short in the cavity

Might just need taping up with loads of earth tape and shoving back in the hole ?

Yes, think I’m starting to see that now.
Based on what I’ve seen so far, I’m very surprised that the submains have been wired in SWA

The last new builds I stubbied on the MC used 10mm twin and earth for his submains

Proper rough installation with sub main cables just buried the plaster

I prefer a single band of tape near the end of the conductor, or heatshrink.

Funny you say that

When I was learning my old boss always did it using a small single loop wrap of tape about an inch before the terminal.

But then another guy who was training me up would over sleeve the entire length of the core

Horses for courses ?

i just want to know where i can buy a Gn/Y sharpie.

I'm not keen on long lengths of identification sleeving like that either, it makes the bunch of cables in a DB a lot bulkier.
And I'm sure someone will say it thermally insulates each core etc etc.
