Hi all, I wonder if anybody can help me, i live in Scotland and work self employed in property maintenance, i would like to get qualified as a domestic electrician to help build my business.
Q1, What minimum qualifications do i need to do this (i do have previous experience in wiring domestic properties so not a complete newbee) and is it correct that i would not do Part P as it is not recognised in Scotland
Q2, where in Scotland can i get these qualifications (cheapest option as well), i have spoken to OLCI but they said i have to have 3-6 month logbook of work to get qualified, the problem with that is i dont have time to go away from my business to get part time work with an electrician to get a logbook... Taking time away from my work will result in me losing customers. I spoke to another training center in Crawley in Surrey and they said they could do the course and i wouldn't need a logbook of work it would all be assessed on there own site for C&G, but obviously the commute is a bit much for the one day parts of the course.
Thanks in advance for your help
