Hello friends, my name is Rogerio, I am Brazilian and living in England since 1999 as electrician mate, but now I would like to try be fully qualified, I would like to know what I have to do to be fully qualified and what path to take, because I have a lot of electrician experience in England and more than 20 years experience in electrical area. What course do i have to take?Because I don't want to take 1 , 2 or 3 years course, because I have lots of experience and knowledge as electrician in UK.I will be very grateful for any help and Any information would be great.Thank you,Cheers.

with your practical experience, a fast track course lasting only 2 or 3 weeks would get you the papers needed to become a domestic installer, coupled with 17th Edition 2382 , then you can apply to elecsa, niceic, napit, stroma, benchmark, to comply with part p of the building regs. however, short course qualifications count for diddly squat in the industrial sector. for that you need a proper course/s lasting 3+ years.

17th edition and competence to do the job is all you may require.

Hi mate, if I want to prepare to work as maintenance electrician at some industries, do i need only 17th edition ?
thanks.

the 17th only shows your understanding of the regs. the other quals are to show competence in testing etc. hows your testing? as you could do the 17th and the new 2391
