DefoI was told always tray for armoured and basket for twin and earth / flex / data cabling etc
Been helping on site with a couple of electricians, nice job really, but why use cable tray, surely basket is the way.
Why n0 SWA?Tray being used for T&E lsoh install,no Swa’s.
Basket is for data,I think cables look far better in basket, tray not having the depth can look untidy.

Swa will be a sub main, from Main Panel close by,clipped to positionWhy n0 SWA?
I hope no cables are going on that tray. Those snaggy corners are dog rough.
Oh I thought you were saying SWA aint allowed in traySwa will be a sub main, from Main Panel close by,clipped to position
Will look @ that next time, maybe crimp the tray ”Lip”I hope no cables are going on that tray. Those snaggy corners are dog rough.
Or use manufactured bends etcWill look @ that next time, maybe crimp the tray ”Lip”
I just think in this instance tray is so outdated,I understand it’s better for multi Swa‘s.Oh I thought you were saying SWA aint allowed in tray
Yea agree a nice Tee would of suitedOr use manufactured bends etc
Totally agree, so much easier & it looks better tooBasket is so much easier to bend and manipulate, no need for manufacturers bends, cut ends can be filed down easier, bolt cutters and a file is all you need.
Having a laugh ain’t you, manufacturer’s bends would not fit in that situation.Pretty bad installation in fact, sharp edges and not using the manufacturers T's and bends, I would have it taken out and re-done correctly.
