Discuss Traying a swa round a corner in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

got a decent bend radius on the cable. but i would have cut the tray and has about 6" of the SWA in free air wound the corner. dumping the stack of strut.

Ok,on site we both argued about that,& decided to carry on with the tray, nice thought for next time though.
Thus weather made the bend a lot easier than in the cold.
Thanks

hope that area is not an escape route with plastic ties supporting the SWA

Can't understand why to keep it uniform the tray wasn't taken away from the wall pre bend then you go around the bend and take it back so it matches both sides.

Bit of a bodge methinks.........

And the radius isn't uniform around the bend, tsk, when I where a lad.............

Must admit I would have had the bricks out, set the cable through and then rebrick it into the wall.

I would change those tie raps for metal the plastic ones will go brittle , not a bad job though its always easy afterwoulds to think of a beter way of doing it , may be swan neck to tray back closer to the wall next time
