agree, probably cost like everything these days, the csa of a cpc is smaller than the L&N so it might be a major problem when its being manufactured or something, but even then i will bet its down to £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££.

Also under cable fault conditions only one insulation layer to pass through from live or neutral.

in the production process i believe that it is used to loosely pull they cables through a continuous process and is guided on the moulding press.:)

Im going with fault conditions, if the line insulation breaks down (nail or were and tear) then the fault has a better way of showing up??
