Hello. I know there are a ton of posts on this subject but I still can't figure it out... I have two three-pole light switches (one in the garage and one in the living room) that I can't figure out... When checked with a multimeter, they both show only 10volts... When checked with a circuit breaker finder, they both go to a breaker in a basement bedroom (however even when turning off this breaker, they still show a few volts on the multimeter). I have tested every outlet (top and bottom) and they all work regardless of the position of the switch. It is really throwing me with the low voltage coming across vice 0 or 120... I am not the original owner but they have never worked since I have lived in the house (not sure about the previous owner). Any assistance you can provide would be awesome. Thank you.
