Good Afternoon All

I have a client wishing to have a battery backup for a sump pump in a basement, reason being that he was unaware of the MCB trip last time and flooded a basement. The pump he has installed is only 150w, so I just wondered if anyone knew of the best way to do this? Never dealt with any form of UPS before so I'm open to an advice on how to proceed

Thanks

Swap the pump to a 12v one, run it from a leisure battery hooked to a charger. By far the easiest and cheapest way. Off the shelf UPS's are unlikely to play well with the surges and spikes on a dirty pump motor.

Also - ask yourself why the trip went in the first place
