Urgent alarm help...

Hi chaps,

got a big problem here, cutting power in the house I'm working in sets the alarm off and the reset code doesn't work! (alarm hasn't been used for donkeys years anyway, it's an ancient piece of tat...

Anyone know how to silence a Micromark 23022? Tried googling for manuals, but none of the links work!

Take out the batteries in panel and bell as a last resort......

Yeah, was going to do that but not got a long enough ladder!

Should stop after 20mins anyway.....otherwise you'll have to blag a ladder!

Yep just leave it to ring out and the battery will run down as for it will not take the code well yes a battery will last about 5 years then it will decay 8 hours the 5 then 2 then 20 minutes so when you come alomg switch the power off the battery runs down then the panel is dead and the sounder is in alarm condition outside.

Remember to diconnect the alarm when doing IR testing you may think this is logical but a lot of sparks forget

Thankfully it's now shut up...

The owner doesn't want the alarm anyway so I'm going to permanently disconnect it.
