I have 2 consumer units, one normal and one for t control, I no longer have storage heaters so want to get the meter removed, can I then use the consumer unit to supply the sockets that were originaly used for storage heating, my immersion heater is also connected to this consumer unit so that is my main reason for keeping it, their is no room in the normal consumer unit to take the immersion heater connections.

It is possible to do what you want. However it is not just a case of swapping the feed to the peak supply. There are other considerations, such as RCD protection for sockets.
I would recommend getting an electrician to assess the possibilities.
Thanks for the reply, the sockets are already covered with RCDs and their is already space to connect the mains supply.
Thanks again
