Using AC isolator for low DC voltage?

Can I use an AC isolator for 80voc /< 8amp DC off a pair of PV modules? Shouldn't be any real arcing at this voltage or am I wrong?

Arcing can occur at any voltage, load characteristics have a part in severity of arcing.... AC rated switchgear has a vastly reduced tolerance to DC currents if its not designed for them.. as above seek manufacturers advice.

Doesn't DC tend to hold the contacts together? I think DC specific switch gear caters for that affect.
