Hi team,
Im currently working on a heating element product and going through the BS EN 60335 regualtions. (not as good as harry potter but a interesting read). The standard test we use on a almost identical product is 1.5kV. This product is 230V 220W Class 1 protable, with basic insulation. 1.5kV seems high. Can a get away with testing this at 1kV or lower? The table on section 13.3 of the regs indicates 1kV. Would love to hear from you not just an answer but an explaination if your willing to type it.

Hi,what is the area of use,of this product? This would maybe give an idea of the standards which are required to be applied.

Might be panicking a bit here but, have been looking at getting a proving unit and noticed a few Martindale packages come with the voltage...
