Hey, i'm in the market for a new voltage indicator. i quite fancy the look and function of the fluke series but what's everyone using? i had a shot of another sparks a while ago where even if only the main probe was touching a live it would light up, much like a voltstick. I'm not sure what brand they were and he's moved on now so cant check, they were the fluke shape(longer, not like martindale's wide chunky one). Is it worth getting one with an lcd display, does anyone ever use it? Also i thinks it handy to have a beeper on it too.
Thanks.

My trusty fluke T5's finally called it a day last week, I've just invested in the dilog with lcd screen. Pretty impressed so far for the small price paid.

I believe you can get a 10% discount with the forum sponsors Test-Meter?

thanks, just been looking at the dilog DL6790 on test-meter ÂŁ53 without discount. think its one i was using before, it does 3 phase rotation aswell which can come in handy.

If you want a voltage tester then keep it simple unless you have a MFT, if you want a complecated bit of kit then you can do better than the one your talking about IMO.
