Morning all

Anyone recommend best type of wander lead to buy and where to get it, recommend length etc...just about to embark on my first testing shortly!
Thanks
Rammie

50 mtr extension reel and a bit of imagination works out a lot cheaper. Also one thing less to carry when it does 2 jobs for the price of one.

Wish I'd thought of that....less expense and less kit to carry. Also, presumably you could cable up a temporary plug and socket (one for each end) to old test lead ends and presto you can just plug in your meter and crocs?

Oh well, got mine now anyway so what the heck.....

I bought a kewtech 50 metre R2 lead and it is hopeless, you just can't zero it. I have fitted a new socket on the reel and now it is fine, obviously poor contacts. I would go with Brightspark's recommendation on this one

I bought a 100m roll of bell wire and put croc clips in the ends, wander lead for a tenner. easy to carry, and null (join both wires together in the clip), also better to shorten to around 50m so it is easier to roll up afterwards, lighter and smaller than a 50m extension as well.
