Any pointers or big no no would be helpful.

thanks
Paul

What kind of guidance are you after? It may take a bit of time and a fair bit of cash to get MCS approved.

Far too much time for just 4 x 1.5kW systems but it may be worth it if you it as a long term venture.

Just sub the job out to one of the good guys on here, I am sure they will work with you on it, so in essence it would still be your job.
That is of course if you have allowed for everything in your quotation, margins are very tight at the moment.

I hope this helps.

How on earth did you win a PV install contract if you are not already MCS approved?

Job is for a regular customer who has to have it fitted for planning so we have got a chance to broaden our work front. And some of the quotes he had it was not hard to look after him.
Some of the other local 1 man bands were good and happy to help.So were taking a bit of a risk but hope it will be worth while in the long run.
Seems the Solar get rich quick bubble has now burst so will thin out the people that were init to make a quick buck.We dont expect to pick up much work but it is nice to get
someone who will work with you and not against you.
I have looked into costs so the risk is I missed some!Does surprise me how much it all adds up to.If you dont take a risk where do you get?

Hi Paul

We supply PV kits but also do installs for a social housing company, we are not a massive outfit so we give you personal attention, if you want to give us a call, we will be happy to try and give you a few pointers, it was only a year ago that some folk were good enough to help us out, so I would be keen for us to do the same, even if you are not interested in any kit etc.

Call Jim (that's me) on 01228 26 70 26 my company is called Global Heat Source Ltd and we are based in Carlisle, I will be in the office tomorrow from 9.00am.

all the best

Jim
