Hi guys
So I am currently working in sales in a call centre, the money is good but I hate my job. I went to university did business management and got a 2:1, but it's not where my heart is. I've always wanted to train as an electrician.
I'm 24 years old, is this to old to swap and learn the trade?
I would love to work as an electrician, domestic or industrial eventually. I just want to be using my head as well as being in a physical role, not sitting at a desk all day taking calls.
The biggest question is where do I start? What's courses do I take?
I would still be working full-time so will be fitting the course in around my job.
I understand there is cost involved, but cost limitation would be good, although I'm desperate to get out of my current field of work, so am willing to do whatever it takes.
Would this be a good idea?
I do have a genuine interest in engineering and electricals. I got a C grade GCSE in engineering which covered lathe work, basic electrics, design etc.
