Whats the going rate for working Sat / Sun on the books these days??
Do you guys work for the same as Mon - Fri or get a higher rate for working weekends?

Last time I was on the books it was straight time mon-Friday. Time and half for any extra evenings on those days, and Saturday morning… double time Saturday afternoon and sundays.

I don’t think it will have changed much over the years

The one time i was card in we were expected to work a Saturday for the same pay we got Mon-Fri

Sundays was time and a half , but we very rarely were asked to do Sundays , I think in 6 or 7 years I did 1 or 2 Sundays all told

Depends on your employer. We are time and a half sat 8-16.30 rest of weekend double time. A lot of that has disappeared now I know guys who get single time or time 1/3 all weekend.

That was always the norm the last time I was cards in about 14 years ago

Not sure I would be working weekends at time + 1/3 unless there was a day in lieu as well. Time + 1/3 was classed as shift rate years ago

Neither would I. Although I know plenty that do it now and no day in lieu.
