Upgrading old supply fans and I see they used rigid conduit. I would consider this area to be a damp or wet location. The only water source is for the cooling coils and there is a drip pan to collect any water. Is ths area considered a wet location because on that? Also the existing rigid is rusted badly. Pretty sure this sounds like a dumb question but curiosity is getting me.

I’m assuming that you are talking about your basement and yes it is considered a damp location. Once your under the house you are not required to install conduit. You can use UF cable which is approved for direct burial and wet locations and just staple it every 4 1/2 feet. The wire I’m referring to is Romex which will be grey in color
