Looks like the only thing I can do but it's not good practice is it
They haven’t really left you an option have they - as Telectrix said, it’ll still be accessible by unscrewing it.

All well an good, but if it's not got a CE mark it's not legal for them to sell it here, or for you to install it for a paying customer.

I'm not sure if a light fitting has to be CE marked, obviously its better if it is as it shows compliance but is it compulsory for a light?
