What back box should I use

I made these yesterday for a similar situation..
4 diddy pendant fittings..
Glue bases to new plastered ceiling and then screw brackets up

I would just drill and screw the the fittings to the wall, leaving enough room behind for connections

In this case I would simply chop a small hole into the brick to shove the connector block into and amount the light directly over the hole...

Looks like the only thing I can do but it's not good practice is it

Short of fabricating your own custom made back box , it’s the only option yes

it's how thousands of wall lights are fitted. the connections are accessible just by unscrewing the fitting.

No just noticed that there is no earth connection and no paperwork but it doesn't look double insolated to me
