Hi Guys/Girls

For a bit of background i completed my Level 3 in requirements for electrical installation (BS7671) many years ago and was 17th Edition. Regrettably i left the trade to pursue other things and have decided i want to be a domestic electrician again.

I understand that i need 18th edition as a must but contacting training providers they all advise different levels of courses and training and one even suggested i start an apprenticeship from scratch.

Question for you is what do i need as a minumum to get me started, INITIALLY employed while i get back into the swing of it and eventually self employed. Im also willing to work odd days for as long as it takes for free to get my eye back in while working another Job. im under no illusion there will have been plenty of changes but has domestic installations really progressed that much?

all advice welcome, TIA
