What else should I research apart from electric car safety features?

im a final year engineering student and my project is safety monitoring and control within a Formula E/electric car and as part of my dissertation i need to perform research in relation to this. so far i've researched general safety features withing electric cars and Formula 1 cars what else do you guys recommend i conduct research in that could be of relation?

You may have covered these already or find they are not relevant to the scope of your project but how about....
1) existing and upcoming relevant standards, Regulatory/Legally enforceable and industry body.
2) comparison of the highest risk items compared to 'standard' vehicles.
3) Any new technologies on the horizon that could need to be addressed from the safety aspect.
