I hate having time pressure on a board change - sure it can be done quickly if testing has already been done (which is how I normally play it), but I'm much happier taking my time alone in the property with no encouragement to rush things just to get a light or the kettle back on...

i use a small 4V driver with torque settings. then tighten by hand. usually less than 1/4 turn to get then right.

I had a tiny battery drill made by ‘Sparky’ iirc , for doing fuse boards

it got stolen on site one day , along with my Skil 18v drill and I never bothered to replace them

Nah I dont buy that one, heard that argument, its ok cause I know how much to tighten it up with an impact driver cause im experienced so its not an issue. They are not meant to be done up with impact drivers, if you cant use a screwdriver then go be a carpenter.

Once started a self employed spark and found him using one on a new 3 phase Schneider board....... down the road before he'd finished it.
It's all come about with circuit breakers, though. With old DB's it wouldn't have been worth it.

I would not use an impact drill on any electrical installation, but have used a Hitachi electric screwdriver set at a low torque and final tightened with hand held terminal driver.

I found a few of the MCBs come apart worryingly if you tighten them too hard, particularly at the top terminal - so not sure I'd ever risk a driver on them - though as always its important to use the right tool and not be one...
