hi guys,

what is the MOST likely cause of high resistance when testing continuity of cpc?

I know likely reasons could be loose terminations, bad terminations (e.g not all wiring strands in connection), dirty connectings, ect

But what would you say is the MOST likely reason for the high resistance reading fault?

thanks magpie

Most likely would be an insecure termination.
Corrosion, wrong size cables, poor continuity of conduit used as cpc, would all be longer term problems but the loose connection is more prevalent I would say, but Archy's one is good.

always grab both crocs around conductors...hold em firm when in DC low ohms.....best way that...
low batterys in MFTs/seperates will give stupid values sometimes.....as mentioned above high resistance joints...spurs of course and dirt/filth in shutters so wipe the plugtop in and out a bit till it clears and oxidisation/scale on bare CPCs (especially older cable).....
