Any particular reason why you can't fit MK?!

MK are a funny profile. I usually go to my suppliers and get them to look at different breakers. Sorry I can't help more. There again, they always have MK breakers anyway.

Usually there all on a standard din rail, except the Crabtree star breakers, it's the bus bar that need to match and securely screw in the mcb.

Should be ok with hager

If you were a paying customer what would you like to see?
Personally do the samE mcb I carry around 100 breakers in my all sorts of makes and ampidge

Most fit on a standard din rail as stated above, there is no major issue on having different manufactured breakers but it does look a lot better if all can be kept the same

Is it ok to mix breakers as long as they fit or is it frowned upon?

Been discussed before and the general consensus is as long as the connections are good and the IP rating of the box is not compromised it's ok.

Think contactum, control gear and wylex fit ok but MK is common and be better just to pick up their own (for all the bashing MK get I find their consumer units to be very good)

Edit: Unless it's the early LNs which I think may be a more difficult fit (they are similar to the old wylex NBs but I couldn't say if they're compatible)

Mk next to Hager will look complete pants though. Looks aside, aren't Hager are more expensive than MK? Just go with an MK breaker, everyone sells them, even the sheds and screwfix I think.

Hi all long time reader first time poster, but think this is relevant I'd give this a read:

Can't seem to post link as not enough posts but Google "beama mcb selection"

Talks about type testing and my understanding is if you mix and match and the manufacturer hasn't explicitly said you can. You could have issues if something goes wrong.
