I am putting in an above ground pool about 350 feet from my electrical box. I would like 30 amps out there. I will add some lights and a fan. Normally I would do 20 amps, but if I ever want to use a pool heater, I will need 30 amps. I already have conduit buried.

I have used multiple online calculators and received multiple answers. What size wire should I run for 20 amps? What size wire should I run for 30 amps?

240V or 120V???

@240V i would think awg 6 or awg 4 (copper) to have acceptable volt drop, however, your regs. are different to ours, so maybe a US member can help better.

Tennessee? is this for a moonshine still?

Ryan first off do you have a panel at or near your pool so you can distribute your power. As @telectrix said are you talking about 240vac or 120vac, 350 feet is a long way from your house, but at 20 amps you would need at a minimum of # 6 and for 30 amps you would need # 4 to avoid voltage drop. You said that you already have a conduit already ran out to your pool so if you are going to pull single wires the pipe would need to be 11/2 pipe. If you are going to pull cable instead of singles it would need to be 2 inch. Regardless I hope you have help because that’s going to be a hard pull. Good luck

Thanks. I can put in a sub panel to distribute it. It is 120. I will definitely have some help. Thanks again.
