Job is to install one or two new sockets in a commercial premises.
Possibly on a new radial circuit or an extension to ring.
If extension on a ring them a Minor electrical certificate is required together with all relevant testing.
However if a new radial circuit is the way a full EIC certificate would be needed. What would be the extent of tests required, not sure if there is any previous inspection and test certificates available.? In short the testing could take much longer than the small job itself.

if you add a new circuit, you only need to record test results for that circuit, along with Ze, supply characteristics etc.. everything else, you put "existing" on your schedule of results with no readings. obviously, ensure that the installation as a whole is fir for continued use.

Description of works on the cert is where you define what the certificate covers.

I.e install circuit 7 ....
