Dead honest true.
Couple of years ago I asked two unrelated friends what was the key to their successful, 6 figure salary, careers in highly competitive fields. Answers (verbatim) were,
"Know which arse to pucker (kiss) up to?" And the other was
"Know where the blame is going for any project you're involved in that might go wrong".
Since I had respect for both people and lacked both these skills I forged a new path which, with a few dead ends, led me here.
How about you guys and girls?

Always check your spelling before you post or send that CV because, say you wanted to say 'piece' and it came out 'pice', well any prospective employer would think, "he doesn't check his spelling so he obviously doesn't want the job"9

The highest part of the human body,is the hat.
I saw a bus with Kelloggs wrote on the side, but it wasn't full of cornflakes.
Believe nothing you hear, and only half of what you see.
The cheques in the post,i'm on the pill,i'm not near yet...

...I could go on all night, but one that stuck and was bob on,was about land and property, and that is, that it only looks expensive on the day you buy it ;)

Didn't realise a hat was part of the Human body, no wonder I don't feel well sometime, left my hat at home

mine was to join the civil service after getting a degree. I reckon my uncle was right as you see all these youngsters with 2nd rate degrees joining various government departments on half decent salaries, gold plated pensions and when they work themselves upto higher positions they get big payoffs when it all goes wrong. They then move to a different government dept. to earn even more.... i certainly missed a trick in life....

I was a Civil Servant Gavin, never went to Uni and as far as a degree goes forget, never got a big pay off either.

1. It's easy to give when you've got plenty, so make sure you get plenty to give.
2. Become a taxman or undertaker, you'll never be out of work or out of pocket.
3. Make sure you're offering a favour which favours your pocket.
4. Charity begins at home.
5. Make money from the fruits of other's labour.

These are just a few I've heard over the years, some are sad but very true.
