Hi Guys, would appreciate some feedback on the going rate for new build site electricians? Its in the Royston / Bedford areas. I guess it depends if they are on the cards with holiday pay etc, or whether self employed? What do you get?

It's a balance between what you ask for and what they'll pay.

The balance is swayed in favour of the person paying.

Ask for Brazil nuts, you'll get peanuts.
Ask for Coconuts you might get Brazil nuts.

I doubt any new builds are day work, all the ones i have been on are price orientated for all trades bar labourers....

In London the rate's about £150 to £160 a day. Hours can vary from 8 to 10.
