Which C&G qualifications?

Hi all

Could you please offer me some advice on which C&G qualifications I need to get me on the road to learning a trade as an electrician.

I am currently considering different options.
One would be to go through one of the intensive courses learning the likes of (quoting from Tony M58's post) Introduction to electrics, EAL DEI, 17th edition regs (C&G 2382), C&G2392 fundamental cerificate in inspection and testing, C&G 2391 inspection & Testing. I would then obviously need to find work as a mate to get the experience to enable me to get the NVQ qualifications.
The other would be to attend college on a day release for 2 year's learning the C&G 2330, ideally whilst working as a mate throughout this period (or at least to start working when I have started picking things up at college). Would 2330 cover off most things I would learn in the intensive courses?

Think of the 2330 as a much bigger version of the EAL DEI.

You would still need inspection & testing. And a building regs qual if you were looking to be employed as a domestic installer

Suppose on how quick you want to get out there earning!
