Tottingham.

Top marks to Harry Houdini for getting us off the bottom.

I'm a football fan... I enjoy watching the Mancs and, dare I say it, the North London reds play some nice stuff too... well they used to til they sold their decent players! Now their manager is having his head turned to a more exciting prospect in the sun! Whatever will they do?

Last time I went to Elland Road was early 70s, a Euro match, they scored a penalty.

Indeed Carlos!
we have only waited 130 years to get a bit of proper silverware.
good celebration in the town today with an open top bus and the like.
makes up for all the seasons of abject mediocrity that I have been through for the last 35 years.
wee lad about 7 in front of me yesterday was shaking with excitement when the first goal went in
gave him a hug n a high five .
i let out a feral roar that could have been heard in Monrovia and held on to my mate while I thought I was gonna faint!
quite an emotional day tbh

I've not been to a saints game for about 3 years but I thoroughly enjoyed watching them pump the soap dodgers! Gutted now that I never went!!

Tbf Carlos the peh munchers were pretty spot on with not even a hint of trouble.i thought we played better against Aberdeen in the semi final but I will take my day in the sun while it's there.
good atmosphere I thought with both sides contributing well.
if it was like that every week you would get great crowds .....unfortunately I am old enough to know it's no like that!

The win will undoubtedly bring more fans to mcdairmid but for how long? I hope they continue their form next season but do you thing stevie may will get snapped up? Where have all the die hard fans been hiding since they won the first division cos there seemed to be a hell of a lot of them?

Stevie May will be sold at some point.
i think he has seen the trail of Scottish wonder kids moving down South for the money and failing miserably to see that he needs to learn a bit more of his craft.
he is only 21 after all.
i remember him as a raw 17 year old with the pace of a whippet but built like a bus ticket
too easily brushed off the ball but he has certainly bulked up and is a handful for most defenders .
could do with scoring more with his head though.
Chris Kane is the next one to look out for.
as with May he has been out on loan to get the experience of the roughhouse lower divisions to toughen him up. Certainly a talented laddie.
i am more concerned about keeping the manager who tbh I had doubts about , with his( lack of) tactical awareness early on.
he seems to have got over this and has got his prep work spot on usually.
an all round nice fella who the players seem to love.
if your players do what the manager asks it's half the battle( just ask David moyes!)
the club will probably get a good bit of a bounce of this tbh. I might go more myself rather than work on a Saturday !

5 year old post and the jocks still moaning on about the superior England.

You beat us 5-2 this season at your place though. although Zamora scoring that last minute winner against Direby makes it all ok.

ohh yes lol. one visit to goal all game....one shot all game.....and in the 90th minute. Sheer Bliss......but thats football. As shankley & Cloughy would say..it only takes a second to score a goal!

Rugby obviously Gloucester, football any team in the world playing against Scotland, any team, even north Korea, Argentina, or even Germany, I have to admit I even support the French when they play the Dirty sweaty socks

S

Silly Sausage

nah i dont watch football id rather watch winter sports or rugby
Rugby is what big hairy men of a dubious sexual persuasion play.
I went to an all boy boarding school (as a day boy, THANK FOOK!), so I know.

Man City will clean up this season!

So it's the first day of the season for me today, I am due to be in the pub at 10.30 for a few jars before going to see the return of a child hood hero of mine , I can't sleep because of the excitement. When he walks out the tunnel the ground is going to erupt.

Not Welsh, hate football, the one game with the round ball, played by overpaid models, Rugby is my game, and only one team comes to mind Bath Rugby, secondly Gloucester, well if Bath aren't doing to well you have to support the next localish side.

Born and raised in Bath, played for one of the junior teams a very long time ago, you can move out of Bath but you can't get Bath Rugby out of your system.

I like Notts Forest, good on you fella.
It's a good job I like you as it's Nottingham Forest the Notts you refer too are the annoying older brothers of ours from across the river.

It's surprising how many of our fans get wound up being called "Notts Forest" TBH it really doesn't bother me.

I can imagine, I feel strongly about our Rugby team and also get a little put out at times lol, first game of the season next week for us, were playing Leeds in a friendly, I reckon we will thrash them

P

You should do, there's a massive difference in standard between the Premiership and championship in Rugby union.
