Discuss Which Multimeter? in the Industrial Electricians' Talk area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi All,

I need a meter for ensuring Capacitors are discharged, they work up to 600v and are located in a place where a normal GS38 voltage checker wouldnt reach.

What I am wondering is, is there a multimeter that is rated safe for use for proving a 'dead' test. Basically I have to be able to change the leads so that they can be a form of long probe.

Cost isnt too much of an issue.

Many thanks for your answers

Forrest
