I don't mean to be confrontational or what ever in any way, but grateful for a definitive answer, why is it that when we get a new post that looks interesting and genuine, when we access the Op we get "Oops something or other" why is that? I tend to switch off if I see that, solely because I can't access the OPs experiences etc, I think why bother, is this something the OPs choose, or a Forum rule, personally I find it off putting, is it Vanity or embarrassment as to their Knowledge, or lack of, surely we as a forum are beyond that sort of thing, comments welcomed.

I believe it’s a default setting @Pete999, not something the member chooses and not something that’s highlighted to them so they have no knowledge that they are inadvertently hiding their profile.....

Very difficult to formulate a constructive answer then?
