Wind noise of roof mounted PV array

I just conducted a site survey and got a new question that I didn't know the answer to....

The customer has an open barn conversion and explains that the rain makes a terrible noise and can disturb tv watching for example.

The PV panels will provide a barrier to rainfall hopefully reducing the rain noise but what about wind noise, will the wind whistle between the panels and the roof? Has anybody got any experience?

Not exactly the same thing, but my panels are on the roof above my bedroom and TBH i dont hear a thing when its windy.

only if thomas is coming round the mountain,, seiously i had an install where there was some roof felt overla
pping near the the soffet, customer reported a new sound once pv was installed, i could hear it flapping not sure it wasnt there already but it could be exasperating the sound??, once they started to recieve generation and fit stopped being an issue

We have had a call similar to that but was while the scaffold was still in place. Never had it just on panels

They have obviously had a quote from e-on they seem to hang on to the normal procedures as their own design implementations i.e we only fit panels X distance away from the roof edge as not to cause annoying wind noise unlike all the other installers of course
