Does it have MCS approval?

Hummer? I remember years ago I got given a Hummer tool kit from a scrapped Hummer vehicle, there also used to be Jeep branded tool kits and stereos.........but I have never heard of a Hummer wind turbine, is that made in China with the American Hummer brand for sale there?

Nope that is not sufficient. Any wind turbine to be connected to the UK grid to be eligible for Feed in Tariff payments MUST be MCS certified, as such without it no-one would purchase or install one in the UK.

It would also need some certification in order to prove noise emission levels. Without that it would be nearly impossible to get planning permission to install one. Warranted figures from the manufacturer may be enough but noise data is included as part of the MCS accreditation process.

Okay....If someone just use wind turbine with off-grid inverter for storage battery charging, MCS certification is not so necessary. Is it? :santa_cheesy:

If that is the case then you won't get the Feed-in Tariff (FiT), you do not have to be grid connected to get the FiT, it makes a big difference on the ROI (Return on Investement)

@TedM, I get the feeling that since ElevenChen is based in China, he may possibly be looking for exports for his product.

So ElevenChen, for it to be viable in the UK:
1) It will need MCS Approval
2) You will need to provide Certified noise data

Then to sell it against the establishd market, you will need to ensure that local support and maintenance is available - i.e. you will have to provide us spares, and to pay us for any warranty repairs that we carry out. On top of that your warranty will need to be insurance backed.
