wiper switch

Daewoo Lanos (1997) wiper switch is broken.
Could the wiper switch be replace with just an on and off switch?

The car is old and i dont want to spend 200 euro on reparing the wiperswitch. If could ask my garageholder to fix it like so ; could this be done , is this sensible ?
I would not mind that speed of the wipers can not be adjusted nor that the water sprayer doesnt work .

go to your local breakers yard. find a replacement at a fraction of the cost of a new one. over here, a non-working sprayer would fail MOT (annual inspection).

Hi,
The car just passed annual inspection. If I can drive it for 1 year with an alternative switch i lld be happy. Next annual inspection is one year later and i lld.try and see what they make of that switch. I wonder.if.it can be done fast as a quick alternative. Where do I branch the wires and were from get power what would be the best choice then?
