one shop keeper told me that his shop has been installed wireless fire alarm, i think in the codes says the fire alarm should use main power from consumer unit, so does wireless fire alarm still satisfy the codes? anyone has installed wireless fire alarm?

cheers

Wireless fire alarms still need mains supplies to the main panel and any other repeater panels or signal boosters.

In my experience they're really expensive for what they do.

they are expensive, Lenny, but the install time is measured in hours, not days. and no upheaval of carpets and floors. some of the gear though is priced ridiculously. i have used detectomat, which is reasonably cost effective, looked at cooper's and it's a mortgage job.
