Hi,
I hope someone can advise. Just wondering how I deal with wiring this security light. in particular dealing with the two neutral wires with the one from the appliance.

Very likely, one of the 'black' wires is a switched live? While the other one is likely to actually be N.

Thanks for replying, where would be best to connect the N from the light would you think? Is the blue wire in the right place? Many thanks

Is it a sensor light and not switched.

The brown and earth are almost certainly in the correct place. Was the old light a sensor light or switched.

So which terminals was the old light connected to.

I think it was the same set up as in the picture the only doubt is the neutral wire of the light as that was detached (in the process of me getting to the junction box)

Using the set up in the picture, the light is dim and constantly on

I am confident I can determine which wires are from the dormant switch so would the blue wire go in the same terminal as the black wire that is not for the dormant switch?

One of the blacks is actually a live back from the switch, the other is neutral. You need the neutral.

I hope you connected it through that gland.
